Downfiring bass reflex system

The extremely large, downward-radiating bass reflex channel prevents flow noise at high volumes. At the same time, it can be set up close to a wall or free in the room without changing the sound pattern.

Time Alignment Technology

The runtime-correcting phase offset through the specifically repositioned tweeter ensures that the musical events are clearly reproduced. Voices and instruments as well as sound effects are displayed in detail and are easier to locate in the stereo panorama. Hear exactly where something is happening.

Constant directivity concept

The completely redesigned waveguide and phase plug causes an extremely wide and even dispersion. The advantage: Hear almost the same sound from every listening position in the room, with consistently high speech intelligibility and localization.

2-way system

Our engineers here in Berlin designed the loudspeaker in such a way that the crossover frequency of the system is not in the range of voices and instruments and these are reproduced very naturally. The modern Klippel measuring method makes the theaters perfect: Even the finest inaccuracies in the membrane’s vibration profile are detected and eliminated by a laser. All of this benefits the enjoyment of music.

Reduction to sound

The complexity of the crossover was deliberately kept simple to counteract any phase shifts. As a result, the sound is particularly balanced. At the same time, the low-midrange driver can handle enormous levels and bass due to its high resilience. The Theater 500S is one of the shelf speakers with the strongest bass ever.
