Architectural audio inverts this entirely — the equipment is designed from the ground up to live inside the structure, invisible behind paintable grilles or flush with the wall surface, powered by amplifiers hidden in cupboards or equipment rooms, controlled by a single app on a phone.

The WiiM Home app is one of the most intuitive multiroom audio interfaces available — comparable to Sonos in simplicity, but with a streaming capability and audio quality that significantly surpasses it. From a single app, every zone in the home or building can be controlled independently: different music in the kitchen, the garden, the bedroom and the home cinema, all at different volumes — or every zone grouped together and synchronised within milliseconds.
For the installer, WiiM is a system that goes in cleanly, configures quickly, and runs reliably. The WiiM CI MOD A4 four-zone rack amplifier consolidates four independent streaming zones into a single 1U rack unit — keeping equipment rooms clean and cable management straightforward. Each zone streams at up to 24-bit/192kHz and is independently controlled from the app, with Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Roon Ready support.
